Welcome to Our September Family Bible Reading Plan!

Women of the Bible

As you read together, help your child notice that God used women with different backgrounds, circumstances, and stories to accomplish His purposes. The reading plan specifically encourages children to think about each woman’s background, why she might be considered a heroine, how she put God first, and how God treated her.

Talk About It

1. What can we learn from her?
What did this woman do that showed courage, faith, kindness, obedience, or trust in God? What is one thing we can learn from her example?

2. How did she trust or put God first?
Did she have to make a difficult choice, wait on God, be brave, or trust Him when she didn't know what would happen? How can we trust God in a similar way?

3. What does her story teach us about God?
How did God see, help, protect, forgive, guide, or use this woman? What does that teach us about how God cares for us today?

End each day with one simple question:
“What is one thing from her story that you want to remember or practice this week?”

The plan moves from Old Testament women into women who encountered Jesus and finishes with 2 Timothy 1:4–7, giving families a great opportunity to see examples of faith across the Bible.
