Builders on Mission seeks to serve communities in need through construction and disaster relief.
Builders on Mission is group of volunteers from as far north as Illinois, as far west as Missouri, as far south as Mobile, AL, and as far east as Maryville,TN. For 27 years Builders have travelled across the United States twice a year to help build church buildings (God builds the Church). At present we follow another construction team, the Carpenters for Christ out of Cherry Street Baptist Church in Attalla, AL. This group of carpenters has multiple contacts for future projects.
The Carpenters do the initial framing during a 10 day stay. Builders follow continuing with the framing, the electrical rough-in, installation of doors and windows, soffit and fascia, and roofing. There are more volunteer groups to follow hanging sheetrock, laying brick, installing acoustic ceiling, and paint.
Builders also assist in disaster rebuild and community projects several times a year. This includes handicap ramps, interior repair, as well as storm damage repair. Examples are flood recovery in Hazard, KY, Waverly, TN, Denham Springs, LA, and hurricane recovery in Lumberton, NC and Horseshoe Beach, FL.
Please join us for our fall roundup at Beech Grove Baptist Church in Louisville, TN on October 20-24th at 6:30pm. We are excited to be welcoming pastors from throughout the Builders on Mission community and we can’t wait for this time of fellowship and preaching!
